This is spot on. Thank you for noticing.
One of the things I wrote in college was a poem sharing words like passion, obsession, yearning, anticipation… several more along the same lines.
And then I wrote
“What a shame, that the most
evocative words
in our language have been stolen
by car commercials
and perfume brands.”

We’ve forgotten how to listen to our bodies, lost control of our consumption and believe that everyone knows better than us.
Maybe we have already ‘shit our brains out’!
